OUR MISSION
Providing GT entrepreneurs community, resources, and guidance.
Growth-minded
No great journey is a straight line. That’s why we provide a low-stakes environment to explore, so entrepreneurs can crash fast and keep building. We support students at all levels of entrepreneurial experience.
Steeped in Georgia Tech
As the only startup accelerator run exclusively by and for Georgia Tech students, Startup Exchange has access to Atlanta's network of venture capitalists, investors, and proven founders. We connect students with our robust network to ensure our startups thrive.
Community-First
Startup Exchange is community first. It takes a village to launch something great. That’s why we work tirelessly to cultivate a close-knit community. We also encourage feedback from the community, so that we can improve our efforts to benefit it.
For students, by students
As the only equity-free student-run accelerator at Georgia Tech, our only interest is you. We believe that being a student is an asset, not a liability. Wherever you’re headed, Georgia Tech Startup Exchange will help get you there.
Creating the next
We help entrepreneurs build the future, now. That starts with the next wave of founders married to the cutting edge in technology, creativity and strategy. Our founders bring us the best of the next, and we in turn help pull the future into the present.
OUR EXECUTIVE BOARD

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Mentorship is step one for joining SX.
How long is GT Startup Exchange mentorship?
Mentorship is approximately 3 months long, and runs in both the Fall and Spring semesters.

Spring 2023 mentorship will occur from early-February to mid-April.
What do I learn during the mentorship process?
During mentorship, you will learn about the basics of customer discovery, value proposition, and revenue channels.

You will be taught different ways to validate business hypotheses as well as how to construct a proper pitch deck.
What is the time commitment for the mentorship program?
Attending weekly lectures and completing assignments take ~2-3 hours each week.

During the semester, you will also have a midterm VC assignment as well as a final startup pitch. Those who finish the program will be considered for CREATE-X in order to advance their idea.
How do I join the mentorship class for the Georgia Tech Startup Exchange?
Check our website and follow our social media to stay updated on when applications open!

What if I already have an idea I've built?
Student builders have the option of joining either our membership or our startup accelerator, SX Fellowship.

Through founder dinners and 1:1 coffee chats, membership allows founders to build community with our network of mentors, founders, and venture capitalists.
